This study is motivated by the importance of digital literacy in shaping students’ politeness in the midst of rapid technological advancement, particularly among Generation Z who are highly engaged with digital media. The purpose of this study is to analyze the level of digital literacy, the level of students’ politeness, and to examine the effect of digital literacy on the politeness of Generation Z students at SMA Negeri 12 Banjarmasin. This study employs a quantitative approach using a simple linear regression method. The population consists of all students of SMA Negeri 12 Banjarmasin, with a sample of 139 students selected through a specific sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire, and analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistical methods. The results indicate that students’ digital literacy is categorized as good, and their level of politeness is also categorized as good. The simple linear regression analysis shows a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant effect of digital literacy on students’ politeness. The regression coefficient of 0.718 indicates a positive direction of influence, while the coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.480 suggests that digital literacy contributes 48% to students’ politeness, with the remaining 52% influenced by other factors beyond this study. In conclusion, digital literacy has a positive and significant effect on the politeness of Generation Z students at SMA Negeri 12 Banjarmasin.
