Abstract

Abstrak Jaringan transmisi Waru pada Unit Paranggupito Perumda Giri Tirta Sari Kabupaten Wonogiri dirancang menggunakan lima unit pompa, namun saat ini hanya tiga unit yang beroperasi, yaitu Pompa 2 dan 3 pada Reservoir 0 serta Pompa 4 pada Reservoir 1. Permasalahan yang diidentifikasi meliputi tingginya konsumsi daya reaktif (kVARh) dan terjadinya luapan pada Reservoir 1. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui pengumpulan data primer berupa pengukuran debit, head, tegangan, arus, dan konsumsi daya, serta data sekunder berupa spesifikasi pompa dan tagihan listrik. Hasil analisis menunjukkan efisiensi pompa berkisar antara 53,23% hingga 59,79% dengan nilai Specific Energy Consumption (SEC) sebesar 491,4–586,8 Wh/m³. Kebutuhan kapasitor bank sebesar 29,7 kVAR untuk Pompa 2 dan 3, serta 37,3 kVAR untuk Pompa 4. Upaya peningkatan Kinerja dilakukan melalui pemasangan Variable Speed Drive (VSD) dan pengaturan putaran pompa, khususnya pada Pompa 2 sebesar 2640 rpm. Kata kunci: Jaringan transmisi air; Kinerja pompa; Efisiensi energi; Specific Energy Consumption (SEC); Variable Speed Drive (VSD) Abstract The Waru transmission system at the Paranggupito Unit of Perumda Giri Tirta Sari, Wonogiri Regency, was originally designed to operate with five pump units; however, only three pumps are currently in operation, namely Pump 2 and Pump 3 at Reservoir 0, and Pump 4 at Reservoir 1. The system faces key challenges, including high reactive power consumption (kVARh) and overflow occurrences at Reservoir 1. This study adopts a quantitative approach, utilizing primary data obtained from field measurements of flow rate, head, voltage, current, and power consumption, as well as secondary data from pump specifications and monthly electricity bills. The results show that pump efficiency ranges from 53.23% to 59.79%, with Specific Energy Consumption (SEC) values between 491.4 and 586.8 Wh/m³. The required capacitor bank capacity is 29.7 kVAR for Pumps 2 and 3, and 37.3 kVAR for Pump 4. System performance can be improved through the implementation of a Variable Speed Drive (VSD) and optimization of pump rotational speed, particularly for Pump 2 at 2640 rpm.
