Pop up book dan lkpd berbasis tri-n dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar ipas sekolah dasar

Abstract

Pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) di sekolah dasar masih menghadapi tantangan serius, terutama dalam menyajikan materi yang bersifat abstrak seperti metamorfosis serangga. Guru umumnya menggunakan metode konvensional berupa ceramah dan buku teks dua dimensi sehingga siswa cenderung pasif dan motivasi belajar rendah. Artikel review ini bertujuan menganalisis potensi integrasi media Pop Up Book, Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD), dan prinsip Tri-N Ki Hadjar Dewantara sebagai strategi inovatif untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa sekolah dasar. Kajian literatur dilakukan dengan menelaah 40 artikel nasional dan internasional yang terbit dalam rentang 2015–2025. Literatur dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan thematic content analysis dengan lima tema utama: urgensi media pembelajaran, efektivitas Pop Up Book, fungsi LKPD, penerapan prinsip Tri-N, serta motivasi belajar siswa. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa Pop Up Book mampu menghadirkan visualisasi konkret, LKPD berfungsi mengarahkan aktivitas belajar, sedangkan Tri-N menekankan tahapan niteni, nirokke, dan nambahi yang selaras dengan konstruktivisme. Integrasi ketiganya tidak hanya efektif meningkatkan motivasi tetapi juga memperkuat pemahaman konseptual siswa. Dari perspektif teori motivasi ARCS Keller, media ini memenuhi empat aspek utama: menarik perhatian, relevan, membangun rasa percaya diri, serta memberi kepuasan belajar. Artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa kombinasi Pop Up Book, LKPD, dan Tri-N merupakan inovasi strategis yang sesuai dengan karakteristik anak usia operasional konkret, mendukung keterampilan abad ke-21, dan relevan dengan Kurikulum Merdeka. Kajian ini memberikan kontribusi konseptual bagi pengembangan media pembelajaran dan rekomendasi praktis bagi guru dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran IPAS di sekolah dasar.Kata kunci: Pop Up Book, LKPD, Tri-N, motivasi belajar, IPAS sekolah dasar. Elementary school science and social studies (IPAS) learning still faces significant challenges, especially in delivering abstract concepts such as insect metamorphosis. Teachers commonly rely on conventional methods such as lectures and two-dimensional textbooks, which result in passive learning and low student motivation. This review article aims to analyze the potential integration of Pop-Up Book media, student worksheets (LKPD), and Ki Hadjar Dewantara’s Tri-N principle as an innovative strategy to enhance elementary students’ learning motivation. The literature review was conducted by analyzing 40 national and international articles published between 2015 and 2025. Thematic content analysis was employed to synthesize five key themes: the urgency of instructional media, the effectiveness of Pop-Up Book, the role of LKPD, the application of the Tri-N principle, and student learning motivation. Findings reveal that Pop Up Book provides concrete visualization, LKPD directs structured learning activities, while Tri-N emphasizes the stages of niteni (observing), nirokke (imitating), and nambahi (developing), which align with constructivist learning. The integration of these three elements not only effectively enhances motivation but also strengthens students’ conceptual understanding. From Keller’s ARCS motivational model, this media combination addresses attention, relevance, confidence, and satisfaction. This article concludes that the integration of Pop-Up Book, LKPD, and Tri-N represents a strategic innovation suited to the characteristics of children in the concrete operational stage, supports 21st-century skills, and aligns with the Merdeka Curriculum. This review contributes conceptually to instructional media development and provides practical recommendations for teachers in improving IPAS learning quality in elementary schools.
