Abstract

Maternal health within the community is a fundamental pillar in improving overall family health status. The Aisyiyah Women’s Religious Study Group of Purwojati Branch, Wuluhan, serving as the community partner, consists of 36 women in the premenopausal and menopausal age range who actively participate in social and religious activities. Many members experience joint stiffness, recurrent coughs and colds, decreased immunity, and physical discomfort related to hormonal changes. However, most of them lack adequate knowledge of promotive and preventive health strategies that could support their quality of life during the menopausal transition. CGOL beverage (Chlorophyll, Ginger, Orange, and Lemongrass) is a herbal drink formulation that is easy to prepare, rich in antioxidants, and has the potential to be developed as a family health beverage. This community service program aimed to improve the partners’ knowledge and perceptions regarding the benefits of CGOL through health education and hands-on training in herbal drink preparation. The implementation methods included promotive health education, demonstrations, practical sessions, pre–post test evaluations, and mentoring. The outcomes demonstrated a significant increase in participants’ knowledge, with the mean pretest score of 62 improving to a mean posttest score of 86. Additional outputs included the development of a training module and its intellectual property registration, an activity video, and educational posters. This program is expected to be further developed as a women’s empowerment model based on healthy herbal consumption.
