<![CDATA[Oral health is a crucial component of quality of life, especially for early childhood, who are vulnerable to tooth decay due to suboptimal hygiene practices and a habit of consuming sugary foods. Brushing teeth with the correct technique and timing is a fundamental step in preventing dental health problems, including caries. However, lack of knowledge and skills in proper tooth brushing remains a major factor in the high prevalence of caries in children. World Health Organizations and Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia emphasize the importance of maintaining dental health from an early age, with the goal of ensuring children are free of caries and able to maintain their own dental health. Promotive and preventive efforts through health education are an effective strategy in fostering proper tooth brushing behavior. Therefore, systematic and sustainable educational interventions are needed to improve children's knowledge and skills in maintaining oral health. It is hoped that appropriate health education will reduce the incidence of caries and improve the level of oral health in school-age children.]]>
