This study aims to analyze the various obstacles encountered in implementing economics learning based on the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum in class E2 of SMA Negeri 12 Merangin. The study used a qualitative descriptive survey method with data collection techniques through questionnaires and observations. The research subjects were 34 class E2 students who provided responses regarding the learning implementation. The results showed that the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum still faced obstacles such as student perceptions of material difficulties, the use of less interactive learning media, monotonous learning, limited teacher skills in the field of technology, and inadequate supporting facilities. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of increasing teacher creativity and innovation in designing more interesting and relevant learning models and media so that the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum can run effectively according to its objectives.
