Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that there are still various obstacles experienced by teachers in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum in science learning at elementary schools. This study aims to analyze and describe the various problems that arise in the implementation process. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by examining 10 relevant scientific articles through the stages of data collection, selection, and systematic analysis. The results of the study show that the obstacles commonly found include teachers' lack of understanding of the Merdeka Curriculum concepts, difficulties in preparing learning tools, limitations of supporting facilities and technology, as well as training that is not yet optimal and evenly distributed. In science learning, teachers also experience difficulties in applying the scientific approach, conducting authentic assessments, and adjusting learning to the needs of students. Nevertheless, the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum is considered capable increasing student participation and learning interest. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve teacher competence accompanied by support in facilities and continuous training so that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum can run more effectively.
