Bali is one of the world's leading tourism destinations with a rapidly developing tourism industry. These dynamics have significant implications for the social and cultural life of local communities, particularly in the Ubud area. This study aims to analyze how the Pawongan value, as part of the Tri Hita Karana concept, plays a role in creating social harmony and supporting sustainable tourism interactions in Ubud, Bali. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques such as observation and in-depth interviews. The research informants consisted of six people consisting of local residents and tourists. The results show that the application of the Pawongan value is reflected in the Ubud community's friendly attitude towards tourists, practices of mutual respect, harmonious social interactions, mutual cooperation (ngayah), and adherence to traditional norms and environmental cleanliness. However, the application of the Pawongan value faces various challenges, such as the influence of globalization, the influx of immigrants, changes in community mindsets due to educational advancements, and developments in science and technology. The impact of the application of the Pawongan value in Ubud shows two sides: a positive impact in the form of maintaining social harmony and the quality of tourism services, and a negative impact that has the potential to shift local values. This study confirms that Pawongan is an important cultural asset in maintaining social harmony and tourism sustainability in Ubud.
