Children’s programmes play a vital role in shaping the values and character of primary school pupils, who are still at the stage of moral and social development. One such relevant programme is the animated series Tayo the Little Bus, specifically the episode “The Best Mechanic”, which features the character Hana with various facets of her personality. This study aims to analyse Hana’s positive and negative traits and their implications for children’s character education. The method used is a qualitative approach employing content analysis of the character’s actions. The results indicate that Hana possesses positive traits such as hard work, perseverance, responsibility, and concern for others. However, she also displays negative traits such as being hasty, undisciplined, careless, and lacking focus on her work. Both these aspects can be utilised as educational tools in character development.
