<![CDATA[According to data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health (2023), the prevalence of HIV in Indonesia is around 0.3% of the total population. HIV transmission is closely related to the Incidence Of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), where, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), more than 1 million STIs occur every day worldwide. STI transmission is often associated with risky behavior and a lack of information about prevention. Risky sexual behavior is highly vulnerable among adolescents. To address this issue, promotions are carried out to help create a strong foundation for sexual health, reduce the prevalence of HIV and STIs, and improve overall quality of life. One of the target focuses for conducting health promotion is SMK Bina Profesi. The selection of SMK Bina Profesi as the location was based on the school’s support and openness toward the implementation of the community service program conducted by lecturers and students from Institut Helvetia Pekanbaru. The method used is health promotion through counseling. The health promotion provided has proven effective in increasing students' knowledge about HIV and STIs. The average score increased from 49.0 to 85.7, with improvements in all aspects, including basic understanding, transmission methods, prevention, and attitudes toward PLHIV. These results align with previous research emphasizing the importance of educating adolescents in the prevention of HIV and STIs. SMA Bina Profesi is expected to conduct regular health promotion activities in collaboration with guidance counselors and homeroom teachers.]]>
