This study discusses the suitability of the role of the local government ofYogyakarta City with the principles of human rights in fulfilling the rights ofchildren victims of sexual violence. This type of research is empirical research andhas analytical describing. Primary data collection techniques were obtainedthrough interviews, while secondary data were obtained through legislation,scientific journals, and document studies. The data analysis technique used isqualitative which produces descriptive data. The results of the study indicate thatthe role of the local government of Yogyakarta City in fulfilling the rights of childrenvictims of sexual violence has not fully fulfilled the principles of human rights. TheYogyakarta City Government has not fully fulfilled the state responsibility principlein fulfilling the rights of children victims of sexual violence, because there are stillchildren's rights that have not been fulfilled, the lack of legal protection, theunavailability of safe houses for children victims of sexual violence, the unfulfilledright to confidentiality of children's identities, and the right to be free from stigma.
