<![CDATA[This community service activity was motivated by the low level of public understanding regarding the utilization of appropriate technology based on local needs. The objective of this program was to enhance community knowledge and skills through socialization and assistance in applying relevant technology. The method employed a participatory approach, including observation, surveys, Focus Group Discussions (FGD), educational socialization, technology demonstration, mentoring, and evaluation using pre-test and post-test. The results showed a significant increase in community understanding, indicated by an improvement in the average score from 25% in the pre-test to 78% in the post-test, reflecting a 53% increase. In addition, social changes were observed, including increased community participation, the establishment of learning groups, and the emergence of local leaders as change agents. Therefore, the socialization of appropriate technology based on local needs is proven effective in enhancing community capacity and independence.]]>
