This study aims to analyze the price integration of fresh broiler chicken markets in Sumatra before and during the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program. Price integration is essential to indicate the efficiency of price transmission across regions and overall market stability. The study uses price data from several major producing provinces in Sumatra over two periods, namely before and during the MBG program. The analytical methods include cointegration tests and dynamic models to examine long-run relationships and short-run adjustments among markets. The results show the presence of cointegration among regional markets, indicating long-run price integration. During the MBG program, the integration pattern remains relatively stable, although increased demand has influenced price dynamics. This suggests that markets are still able to transmit price information efficiently across regions. However, differences in the speed of price adjustment are observed among provinces, reflecting variations in market structure and distribution systems. In conclusion, the broiler chicken market in Sumatra is well integrated both before and during the MBG program, despite short-run adjustment dynamics. These findings imply that demand-enhancing government programs do not necessarily disrupt market integration, but effective supply and distribution management remain crucial to maintain price stability
