This study examines Ahmad Tohari's novel "Di Kaki Bukit Cibalak" by focusing on the Kantian moral ethics approach, where Immanuel Kant offers two main principles in assessing an action, namely the first through the categorical imperative principle and the second the principle of autonomy of the will. According to Kant, ethical action can only be achieved through these two things. The study was conducted using a literature study approach with reading and note-taking data collection techniques. Content analysis techniques were carried out by identifying moral ethical values in the novel "Di Kaki Bukit Cibalak". The results of the study indicate that moral ethical values are realized based on an awareness of obligations carried out because they are mandatory regardless of external and pragmatic factors. This study contributes to literary studies by showing how literary works can be a representation of a review of moral philosophy. In addition, this study also paves the way for further exploration of ethics as a moral philosophy in literary works.
