Mining is one of the industrial sectors that relies heavily on the reliability of machinery and equipment to support the smooth exploration and operational process. The reliability of the machine in the exploration unit is critical in ensuring productivity and operational efficiency. The purpose of this study is to improve the reliability of the machine through the Risk Priority Number method approach with RPN values based on severity, occurrence, and detection values. Analysis of unit EXP-DL-02 identified the main failure mode with significant RPN values of 144,108,96, and 84, revealed more critical risks with RPN values of 210,180, and 72. Repair priorities are focused on the components with the highest RPN values according to the pareto diagram namely latch spring, spring valve, backhand, V-belt (EXP-DL-02) and seal cylinder, cylinder head, hydraulic hose, spiral hose (EXP-DL-06). Recommended corrective actions by improving machine reliability, operator skills and prioritizing scheduled preventive maintenance and regular parts changes. This is to improve machine performance and overall operational efficiency.
