Each teacher has a different communication experience in the teaching and learning process, especially in tahfiz learning which aims to improve spiritual and intellectual relationships. Tahfiz learning is not only about teaching the Qur'an but also how students are able to remember what they have learned, understand, and apply it in everyday life. In addition, the most important thing is how the teacher's communication experience is so that students are able to learn tahfiz and their spiritual and intellectual relationships increase. This study aims to determine the teacher's communication experience in tahfidz learning and to analyze the essential meaning of teacher communication. The researcher used qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The subjects of the study were 3 teachers who taught tahfiz and a parent as additional data. The results showed that there were four teacher communication experiences in tahfiz learning at MIS Nurul Hidayah Padang, providing motivation and appreciation to increase student confidence, using nonverbal communication to build trust, listening attentively, empathizing by providing comfort. The essential meaning of the tahfiz teacher's communication experience in building and creating spiritual and intellectual connections is closeness as a form of effective teaching.
