This study examines the phenomenon of doodle art as a form of creative expression among urban youth that integrates elements of local culture with contemporary visual styles. In Bekasi, West Java, doodle art has evolved beyond a spontaneous artistic activity and functions as a medium of cultural communication and identity representation for the younger generation. The study aims to analyze how doodle art acts as a medium for transforming local cultural values and as a form of identity expression among urban youth in sustaining cultural arts through the community of young painters in Bekasi.This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through participant observation,in-depth interviews with community members, and documentation ofvisual artworks produced by doodle art practitioners.Data analysis was conducted using thematic analysis based on the Miles, Huberman,and Saldaña model,which includes data reduction,datadisplay,and conclusion drawing.Arnheim’s Art Psychology theory was used to understand the relationship between visual perception,aesthetic experience,and cultural identity expression.The findings show that doodle art has become a creative medium that combines local cultural elements with contemporary urban visual styles while supporting cultural regeneration and sustainability in the digital era today.
