<![CDATA[This study aims to reconstruct the concept of religious moderation in Tafsir An-Nur by Hasbi Ash-Shiddieqy and to examine its relevance within the Indonesian context. This research employs a qualitative approach using library research, focusing on a thematic (maudhu’i) analysis of selected Qur’anic verses related to moderation, including Q.S. al-Baqarah [2]: 143, 43, 183, Q.S. an-Nisa [4]: 3, and Q.S. al-Baqarah [2]: 282. The primary data source is Tafsir An-Nur, while secondary data are obtained from various classical and contemporary tafsir literature as well as studies on religious moderation. The data analysis involves thematic identification, conceptual coding, interpretative analysis, and synthesis. The findings reveal that Hasbi Ash-Shiddieqy constructs the concept of religious moderation through three core values: tawassuth (the middle path), tawazun (balance), and i‘tidal (justice). The value of tawassuth is reflected in maintaining equilibrium between worldly and spiritual dimensions while rejecting extreme interpretations. Tawazun is manifested in the integration of spiritual and social aspects, such as the relationship between prayer and almsgiving, as well as the balance between physical and spiritual discipline in fasting. Meanwhile, i‘tidal emphasizes justice in both family relations and socio-economic transactions. Hasbi’s interpretation is contextual, rational, and applicable, making it highly relevant to Indonesia’s pluralistic society. Therefore, Tafsir An-Nur offers a significant conceptual foundation for strengthening religious moderation, fostering social harmony, preventing radicalism, and promoting inclusive and ethical religious life.]]>
