Premature Rupture of Membranes (PROM) is influenced by several factors, notably maternal age and parity. These determinants may affect the elasticity of the amniotic membranes and the uterine capacity to sustain pregnancy. The incidence of PROM in Indonesia is reported to range between 6-12% of all pregnancies. The aim of this research was to investigate the link between maternal age and parity in relation to the incidence of PROM. This research employed quantitative approach with retrospective analytic design, utilizing secondary data from health center registers and adopting a case-control framework. Sample comprised 64 mothers who delivered at the Purwodadi I Health Center maternity, with 32 categorized as cases (PROM) and 32 as controls (non-PROM). The majority of respondents’ ages fell within the non-risk category (48 participants, 75%), while parity was most frequently observed in the nulliparous group (26 participants, 40.6%). A chi-square test was performed for bivariate statistical analysis at an alpha level of 0.05. The maternal age variable yielded a p-value of 0.021 (<0.05), whereas parity produced a p-value of 0.001 (<0.05). These results show a statistically significant relationship between maternal age and parity with the occurrence of PROM, as evidenced by p-values beneath the alpha threshold.
