Abstract

Abstrak   Pelaksanaan praktikum menjadi bagian yang sangat penting dalam penyampaian berbagai materi pembelajaran IPA. Namun realita di lapangan, masih ditemukan sekolah maupun perguruan tinggi yang fasilitas laboratoriumnya masih sangat minim sehingga menghambat pelaksanan praktikum di tempat tersebut. Melalui program pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh dosen prodi Pendidikan IPA, FKIP, Universitas Sulawesi Barat maka dilaksanakan program pelatihan “Pemanfaatan Laboratorium Virtual (Virtual Laboratory) sebagai Media Praktikum IPA Berbasis Digital”. Kegiatan Dilaksanakan pada tanggal 21 September – 01 November 2024 bertempat di Universitas Sulawesi Barat dengan peserta sebanyak 34 orang mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan IPA. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) dengan 3 tahapan kegiatan yaitu (a) persiapan, (b) pelaksanaan, dan (c) refleksi dan evaluasi. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini memberikan dampak yang signifikan dalam memperkuat kompetensi peserta dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi digital ke dalam pembelajaran IPA serta efektif untuk mengatasi keterbatasan laboratorium fisik.   Kata kunci: laboratorium virtual, praktikum IPA,t eknologi digital   Abstract   Many schools and higher education institutions still face significant limitations in laboratory facilities, which hinders the effective implementation of experiment in science. Through a community service program organized by the faculty members of the Science Education Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Sulawesi Barat, a training program entitled "Utilizing Virtual Laboratories as a Digital-Based Practical Media for Science Education" was conducted. The activity took place from September 21 to November 1, 2024, at Universitas Sulawesi Barat, with 34 participants from the Science Education Program. The method implemented in this program was Participatory Action Research (PAR), which consisted of three stages: (a) preparation, (b) implementation, and (c) reflection and evaluation. This community service initiative has had a significant impact on strengthening the participants' competence in integrating digital technology into science education, effectively addressing the limitations of physical laboratories.
