Abstract

Perairan pesisir Probolinggo menjadi salah satu sumber air baku untuk media budidaya udang vaname. Kasus penolakan hasil produksi udang yang diekspor karena teridentifikasi adanya bakteri Salmonella sp yang dapat berasal dari perairan budidaya. Hal ini telah banyak terjadi dikarenakan bakteri merupakan salah satu indikator keamanan pangan Keberadaan bakteri Salmonella sp tersebar di perairan dimana menjadi habitat dari udang vaname yang dibudidayakan. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui keberadaan bakteri Salmonella sp pada perairan pesisir Probolinggo sebagai bioindikator kegiatan budidaya udang vaname pada air di pesisir Probolinggo dan mengetahui kondisi parameter fisika-kimia perairannya. Penelitian menggunakan metode survei dengan pengukuran dilakukan secara insitu dan eksitu. Hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata total bakteri Salmonella dengan tiga kali pengambilan sampel di 5 stasiun pada kisaran 136,67 – 5025,33 CFU/ml dan dikatogerikan telah perairan telah tercemar bakteri Salmonella. Kadar bakteri Salmonella di 5 stasiun tidak berbeda nyata dan hasil pengukuran parameter suhu (30 – 32°C), pH (7,48 -7,59), oksigen terlarut (5,53 - 7,23 mg/L), salinitas (16,33 – 28,33 ppt), nitrit (0,0037 - 0.0121 mg/L), amonia (0,0565 - 0.1119 mg/L), dan total bahan organik (31.18 - 56.04 mg/L) menunjukkan nilai optimal dan masih sesuai dengan standar baku mutu air sumber budidaya udang vaname.   The coastal waters of Probolinggo are one of the sources of water supply for vaname shrimp farming media. Cases of rejection of exported shrimp production results due to the identification of Salmonella sp bacteria that can originate from cultivated waters. This has happened a lot because bacteria are one of the indicators of food safety. The presence of Salmonella sp bacteria is spread in waters where the habitat of cultured vaname shrimp. The purpose of the study was to determine the presence of Salmonella sp bacteria in the coastal waters of Probolinggo as a bioindicator of vaname shrimp farming activities in water in coastal Probolinggo and determine the condition of physico-chemical parameters of its waters. The study used a survey method with measurements taken insitu and exitu. The results obtained the average total Salmonella bacteria with three sampling times at 5 stations in the range of 136.67 - 5025.33 CFU/ml. . Salmonella bacteria levels at 5 stations were not significantly different and the measurement results of temperature parameters (30 - 32°C), pH (7.48 -7.59), dissolved oxygen (5.53 - 7.23 mg/L), salinity (16.33 - 28.33 ppt), nitrite (0.0037 - 0.0121 mg/L), ammonia (0.0565 - 0.1119 mg/L), and total organic matter (31.18 - 56.04 mg/L) showed optimal values and were still in accordance with the water quality standards for vaname shrimp culture sources.
