Background: Cognitive decline is commonly experienced by older adults and may affect their daily functioning and quality of life. Reminiscence therapy is a non-pharmacological intervention that can stimulate memory and improve cognitive function among the elderly. Purpose: This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of reminiscence therapy in improving the cognitive function of older adults at the Sekip Community Health Center, Palembang. Methods: This study used a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest approach. A total of 32 older adults aged over 60 years were selected using purposive sampling. Cognitive function was measured before and after the intervention using the Mini-Mental State Examination. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test with a significance level of 0.05. Results: The mean cognitive score increased from 21.38 before the intervention to 25.66 after reminiscence therapy. Statistical analysis showed a significant improvement (p = 0.000 < 0.05). Conclusions: Reminiscence therapy is effective in improving cognitive function among older adults.
