The rapid growth of the tourism sector has increased expectations for destinations that are not only easy to access but also able to offer meaningful and memorable experiences. However, aquarium attractions have recently experienced a decline in visitor numbers, suggesting the need to better understand what drives tourists to return. This study explores the role of novelty seeking and memorable tourist experiences in shaping revisit intention, with tourist satisfaction acting as a mediating factor in the context of aquarium attractions. Using a quantitative descriptive method through purposive sampling, the data were gathered via an online questionnaire, resulting in 241 valid responses out of 248 collected. The data were analyzed using PLS-SEM by using SmartPLS 4. The findings show that novelty seeking, memorable tourist experiences, and tourist satisfaction all have a positive and significant effect on revisit intention. In addition, both novelty seeking and memorable experiences significantly enhance tourist satisfaction, which in turn strengthens revisit intention. Overall, the results suggest that while visitors’ expectations are generally met, providing more engaging, interactive, and educational experiences remains essential for maintaining satisfaction and encouraging repeat visits to aquarium attractions.
