<![CDATA[Waktu merupakan dimensi fundamental yang membentuk identitas dan pengalaman eksistensial manusia, namun sering dipersepsikan secara keliru sebagai sesuatu yang dapat dimiliki dan dikendalikan sepenuhnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan memvisualisasikan waktu sebagai wajah kehidupan melalui penciptaan karya seni grafis cetak tinggi dengan teknik linocut. Penciptaan karya dilandasi oleh teori yang memandang waktu sebagai aliran kesadaran yang terus bergerak, serta divisualisasikan melalui gaya surealisme guna merepresentasikan sifat waktu yang subjektif dan tidak linear. Metode yang digunakan adalah practice-based research dengan tiga tahapan, yaitu praproduksi, produksi, dan pascaproduksi, didukung pendekatan semiotik dan estetis untuk menganalisis simbol dan unsur visual dalam karya. Hasil penelitian berupa karya berjudul “Irama Alunan Jarum Jam” berukuran 132 x 112 cm, menampilkan figur grandfather clock sebagai simbol sentral waktu dan figur manusia berkepala domba sebagai metafora jiwa manusia yang patuh menjalani alur kehidupan. Penggunaan warna monokrom memperkuat kesan misterius dan reflektif. Karya ini menegaskan bahwa waktu bukan sekadar ukuran kronologis, melainkan ruang batin tempat manusia memaknai pertumbuhan, perubahan, dan kefanaan hidupnya.Kata kunci: waktu; surealisme; seni grafis cetak tinggi; linocut; wajah kehidupan---Visualizing Time as the Face of Life through Relief Printmaking. Time is a fundamental dimension that shapes human identity and existential experience, yet it is often mistakenly perceived as something that can be possessed and fully controlled. This research aims to visualize time as the face of life through the creation of a relief printmaking artwork using the linocut technique. The creation of this work is grounded in a theory that regards time as a continuously flowing stream of consciousness, and is visualized through a surrealist style to represent the subjective and nonlinear nature of time. The method employed is practice-based research consisting of three stages: preproduction, production, and postproduction, supported by semiotic and aesthetic approaches to analyze the symbols and visual elements within the artwork. The result of this research is an artwork titled “The Rhythm of the Clock’s Hands (Irama Alunan Jarum Jam)” measuring 132 x 112 cm, featuring a grandfather clock figure as the central symbol of time and human figures with sheep heads as a metaphor for the human soul submissively undergoing the course of life. The use of monochrome color reinforces a mysterious and reflective impression. This work asserts that time is not merely a chronological measure, but an inner space in which humans make meaning of growth, change, and the transience of their lives.Keywords: time; surrealism; relief printmaking; linocut; face of life]]>
