Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of financial performance and financing risk on the stability of Islamic banks through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The literature used was sourced from reputable scientific databases, such as Google Scholar, Scopus, ScienceDirect, and DOAJ, covering publications from 2017 to 2026. The selection process was conducted systematically through the stages of identification, screening, and feasibility evaluation to ensure the quality and relevance of the studies analyzed. The results of the study indicate that the stability of Islamic banks is influenced by a complex and multidimensional relationship between financial performance and financing risk. Key indicators such as Non-Performing Financing (NPF), profitability (ROA/ROE), capital adequacy (CAR), liquidity (FDR), and operational efficiency (BOPO/CIR) were found to play a significant role in determining the resilience of Islamic banks. These findings confirm that stability analysis cannot be conducted in isolation but requires a comprehensive approach that simultaneously considers the interrelationships among variables. Thus, this study makes a conceptual contribution to the development of a more integrative and empirically grounded model for analyzing the stability of Islamic banks and can serve as an important reference for policymakers in maintaining the sustainability of the Islamic financial system.
