<![CDATA[Tiwingan Lama Village in Aranio District, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan, is a nationally awarded tourism village situated on the shore of the Riam Kanan Reservoir. Despite its considerable tourism potential, the local economy is still predominantly dominated by the agricultural sector, while women's economic participation remains largely limited to domestic household roles. The ECOSALAM (Ecoprint Sasirangan with Natural Dyes) community service program was designed using a participatory approach to empower 30 housewives through the integration of two Indonesian textile heritages, namely the Banjar sasirangan tie-dye technique and the ecoprint natural dyeing technique, as an alternative source of sustainable household income. The results and outputs of the program showed that participants successfully produced sasirangan-ecoprint fabrics using local natural dyes such as ulin wood powder, sappanwood bark, turmeric, teak leaves, indigofera leaves, and ketapang leaves, fixed with alum, lime, and ferrous sulfate (tunjung). A total of 60 pieces of fabric were produced during the first training phase in 2024. Subsequently, during 2026, a total of 180 products, consisting of vests, T-shirts, and scarves, were produced during the second training phase. During this training, the "Riak Batinti" Sasirangan Artisan Group was also established based on Tiwingan Lama Village Head Decree No. 025/SK-PEMDES TWL/VII/2025, and participants reported increased self-confidence, new technical skills, and aspirations to develop micro-enterprises. The program contributes to several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), namely No Poverty, Gender Equality, Decent Work and Economic Growth, Quality Education, Responsible Consumption and Production, Life on Land, Climate Action through the use of environmentally friendly materials, and Partnerships for the Goals.]]>
