Anemia among adolescent girls remains a significant public health problem that may affect reproductive health and overall quality of life. Iron (Fe) supplementation is commonly used to increase hemoglobin (Hb) levels and may be optimized by consuming foods that enhance iron absorption, such as Ambon bananas, which contain prebiotics and supportive nutrients. This study aimed to analyze the effect of Fe tablet consumption combined with Ambon banana intake on hemoglobin levels among adolescent girls. This study employed a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group approach. The sample consisted of adolescent girls at SMK Negeri 2 Sukorejo, divided into an intervention group (Fe tablets + Ambon banana) and a control group (Fe tablets only). Hemoglobin levels were measured before and after the intervention. Data were analyzed using paired t-test and independent t-test with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed a significant increase in hemoglobin levels in both groups. In the intervention group, the mean Hb increased from 11.44 g/dL to 13.08 g/dL (p=0.000), while in the control group it increased from 11.62 g/dL to 13.69 g/dL (p=0.000). However, there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups (p=0.075). In conclusion, Fe tablet consumption, with or without Ambon banana supplementation, is effective in increasing hemoglobin levels among adolescent girls. The addition of Ambon banana did not demonstrate a statistically significant difference compared to Fe supplementation alone.
