Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever remains one of the public health problems closely related to environmental sanitation conditions. Low public awareness in maintaining environmental cleanliness can increase the risk of Aedes aegypti mosquito breeding as the vector for DBD transmission. This community service activity aims to increase public knowledge regarding the importance of environmental sanitation in DBD prevention in Tongute Sungi Village, Ibu Subdistrict, West Halmahera Regency. The method used in this activity was health education through lectures, discussions, and Q&A sessions with evaluation conducted using pre-test and post-test for 25 participants. The results of the activity showed an increase in the level of community knowledge after receiving education, with the proportion of good knowledge rising from 28.0% to 72.0%, while the proportion of poor knowledge decreased from 32.0% to 8.0%. These results indicate that environmental sanitation education is effective in improving community understanding of environment-based DBD prevention. It is hoped that the community can adopt clean and healthy living behaviors and maintain environmental cleanliness as an effort to prevent DBD.
