Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji secara lebih komprehensif peran strategis KH. Abdul Wahid Hasyim sebagai tokoh kunci dalam proses kaderisasi dan modernisasi Islam Nusantara pada pertengahan abad ke-20. Melalui analisis historis, sosiologis, dan pendidikan, penelitian ini mengungkap bagaimana gagasan-gagasan beliau berkontribusi pada transformasi pesantren, penguatan identitas kebangsaan, dan perkembangan Islam Nusantara yang moderat. Dengan memperluas sumber primer maupun sekunder, tulisan ini menunjukkan bahwa KH. Wahid Hasyim tidak hanya berperan sebagai pembaharu pendidikan, tetapi juga sebagai arsitek peradaban Islam Indonesia yang menyeimbangkan tradisi dan modernitas. This article comprehensively examines the strategic role of KH. Abdul Wahid Hasyim as a key figure in the process of cadre formation and modernization of Islam Nusantara in the mid-20th century. Through historical, sociological, and educational analysis, this research reveals how his ideas contributed to the transformation of Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), the strengthening of national identity, and the development of moderate Islam Nusantara. By expanding on primary and secondary sources, this paper demonstrates that KH. Wahid Hasyim played a role not only as an educational reformer but also as an architect of Indonesian Islamic civilization that balanced tradition and modernity.
