Abstract

Poverty remains a major development problem in East Nusa Tenggara Province. This study aims to analyze the effect of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), education, unemployment, population, and health on poverty levels in regencies/cities of East Nusa Tenggara during 2017–2025. This research uses panel data from 22 regencies/cities and applies the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) panel regression method. The results show that simultaneously GRDP, average years of schooling, open unemployment rate, population, and life expectancy significantly affect poverty levels. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0,996292 indicates that 99,6292 percent of poverty variation can be explained by the variables in this study. Partially, GRDP and life expectancy have a negative and significant effect on poverty, while the average years of schooling, open unemployment rate and population has a positive but insignificant effect on poverty.
