<![CDATA[This study examines the manifestation of sincerity (ikhlas) values in the altruistic behavior of humanitarian volunteers in Banyumas Regency, Central Java, Indonesia. Using a phenomenological qualitative approach, this research explores how ikhlas-as a core virtue in Islamic psychology-shapes, sustains, and deepens altruistic engagement among Muslim volunteers. Data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews and participatory observation involving 10 active volunteers from organizations: Senyum Anak Nusantara, Relawan Gesit Youth For Sustainable Agriculture Banyumas. Data analysis employed the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. Results reveal that altruistic behavior is driven and sustained by three interrelated dimensions of ikhlas: (1) purity of motivation without personal gain, (2) consistency in helping despite obstacles and social pressures, and (3) inner tranquility (tumaʼninah) as post-altruistic resonance. Ikhlas functions as a psycho-spiritual moderator integrating Islamic spiritual values and Javanese gotong royong culture with genuine prosocial behavior.
