Background: Adherence to the medication of Jaminan Kesehatan Nasional (JKN) patients in Indonesia was revealed to be suboptimal (<50%) compared to other developed countries. The government initiative to address this issue is through the Chronic Disease Management Program (PROLANIS), with the main focus on hypertension and type 2 Diabetes Aims: This systematic review aimed to determine the factors influencing the adherence of JKN members in PROLANIS. Methods: Relevant studies were searched from PubMed, Science Direct, Epistemonikos, Proquest, Cochrane, Google Scholar, and Garuda. All accessible studies in the last 10 years and written in English or Indonesian are included. Applying PRISMA 2020 guidelines, 13 peer-reviewed papers satisfied the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The risk of bias was determined with JBI critical appraisal tools. Results: Most of the study scored more than 76.9%. The prevalence of adherence ranged from 19.2 to 75.5%. Socioeconomic f and patient factors of the disease were revealed to influence medication adherence among the reviewed studies consistently. Conclusion: Decision-makers and health providers should consider all these factors when developing health policies or interventions to promote PROLANIS patient adherence. A further study assessing adherence with a standardized assessment to understand all necessary influencing factors comprehensively needs to be conducted Keywords: Adherence, chronic disease, JKN, medication, PROLANIS
