<![CDATA[This study aims to uncover the symbolization of the spiritual power of a mother's prayer in the lyrics of the song Tapi by Perunggu through Roland Barthes semiotic analysis approach, focusing on the levels of denotative meaning, connotative meaning, and myth. The method employed in this research is descriptive qualitative method with a text analysis technique. The primary data consists of the lyrics of Tapi, which were analyzed in depth on a stanza-by-stanza basis. The findings reveal that the song's lyrics represent the inner conflict of a child who must leave home in pursuit of dreams in another city, while simultaneously portraying a mother's prayer as the primary spiritual anchor amid life's uncertainties. At the denotative level, the lyrics depict the situation of relocating from Bandung to Jakarta. At the connotative level, meanings emerge concerning emotional attachment to one's place of origin, anxiety in facing the outside world, and the limitations of relying solely on oneself. At the level of myth, a mother's prayer is interpreted as a symbol of spiritual power that transcends worldly logic, representing the Indonesian cultural belief that the blessings and prayers of parents, particularly mothers, possess a magico-religious power capable of protecting and guiding a child through life. This study is expected to contribute to the study of semiotics in Indonesian popular music as well as to the understanding of the relationship between culture, religiosity, and works of art.]]>
