The Lambaro Main Market has poor sanitation conditions, especially in the fish sales area, which is characterized by the presence of organic waste, standing water and fishy smell which is a source of food and a breeding ground for flies. House flies (Musca domestica) are mechanical vectors that play a role in the transmission of various diseases so their existence needs to be controlled with effective and environmentally friendly methods, one of which is using fly traps with color variations. This study aims to determine the effect of different color variations of fly traps on the number of flies trapped in the Lambaro Main Market Darul Imarah District Aceh Besar Regency. The type of research used was a quasi-experimental experiment with three color treatments (red, yellow and blue) and one control with three repetitions. Data collection was carried out by counting the number of flies trapped in the fly trap for 120 minutes. The results showed that yellow fly traps were the most effective with a total of 195 (65) trapped flies, followed by blue 115 (38.3), red 82 (27.3) and control 34 (11). The One Way Anova and LSD tests showed a significant difference between the treatments (p < 0.05). It can be concluded that the variation in fly trap color affects the number of trapped flies, where yellow is the most effective color in attracting flies.
