Land evaluation is the process of assessing land use, considering all aspects to maximize its potential. Land use in Candikuning Village shows indications of incompatibility with land capability. This study aimed to determine the suitability of land use in Candikuning Village. Research parameters included slope, texture, effective depth, permeability, rocks and gravel, and the threat of flooding. Methods used were the pipette method for texture, constant head permeability test for permeability and drainage, and matching actual data with land capability classes. Results showed that the land has a slope of 0–55%, texture dominated by sandy loam, effective depth of 20–100 cm, permeability of 10.26–41.00 cm/hour, drainage mostly rather good, and rocks and gravel ranging from 1–47%, with most areas having no threat of flooding. Land capability in the study area ranges from class I to class VII. Land use suitability assessment found 37 areas suitable and 3 areas unsuitable. Land use that does not match the land capability class was given recommendations, including shrubs, production forests, protected forests, and nature reserves.
