Abstract

This study responds to the insufficient incorporation of contextual learning strategies and interactive digital platforms to support students’ mathematical problem solving abilities. This study design an interactive learning media based on RME assisted by Liveworksheets. This investigation utilized a R&D design based on the Borg and Gall framework, limited to eight stages. The participants comprised three validators, together with students from a junior secondary school located in Cimahi. Data were gathered using expert validation forms, student response surveys, and mathematical problem solving assessments. Data examination used descriptive quantitative methods to assess validity and practicality, whereas inferential statistical procedures such as tests of normal distribution, variance homogeneity, and Independent Sample t-test Results showed that the created media reached an excellent validity category, obtaining validation scores of 94% and 90%, and also reflected practicality through learner responses of 71% and 69%. Nevertheless, the effectiveness evaluation showed no significant statistical gap between the experimental class and the control class (Sig. = 0.227 > 0.05). The results suggest that the media is both valid and practical, holds promise for learning support, but its effect on enhancing problem solving abilities requires additional investigation.
