The study of morphology aimed to identify the development and changes of the city form within a certain period. This study aimed to reveal the changes in the historical area of Parakan Heritage City. The study uses the morphological component approach of land use, street patterns, and building typology. This study used the historiography method, which includes four stages: heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. This study showed the changes in the city form of Parakan in four periods (pre-colonial era, colonial era, post-colonial era, and present-day era). The changes and growth are significantly shown in land use, street patterns, and building typology. In the past century, Parakan has developed from an agriculture-based trading city to a heritage city with growing tourism and creative economy potential. The change in land use reflects adaptation to the dynamics of the times while maintaining its historical heritage. The evolution of road circulation patterns in the Parakan Heritage City demonstrates the city's adaptation to changing times, economic needs, and socio-cultural dynamics that continue to develop. The diversity of building typologies in Parakan shows the development of this city from the colonial period to the modern era, making it one of the heritage cities rich in history and culture.
