Abstract

The global tourism industry, including tourist villages known for their cultural and natural charm, suffered a severe blow during the COVID-19 pandemic. Visitations to these villages sharply declined, but with the pandemic's end in sight, there's a promising opportunity for their sustainable revival. This study explores post-COVID-19 strategies for rejuvenating these tourist villages, with a focus on adapting to the "new normal" through strict health protocols, improving connectivity, and fostering collaboration among governments, local communities, and the private sector. Additionally, environmental preservation plays a central role in ensuring these villages maintain their unique character and ecological balance. Revitalizing tourist villages post-pandemic not only boosts local economies and safeguards cultural heritage but also promotes sustainable development, provided there's unwavering commitment from all stakeholders.
