Background: Cephalgia is one of the most common neurological complaints among hospitalized patients and may impair comfort, sleep quality, daily activities, and overall quality of life. Hegu point (LI4) acupressure is a non-pharmacological therapy that may help reduce headache intensity. Objective: To describe changes in headache intensity following the application of Hegu point (LI4) acupressure therapy in patients with cephalgia. Methods: This descriptive case study involved two hospitalized patients with cephalgia at Candi Selogriyo Ward, RSUD Merah Putih, Magelang Regency. Headache intensity was measured using the Numeric Pain Rating Scale (NPRS) before and after the intervention. Hegu point (LI4) acupressure therapy was administered for 20 minutes, once daily for three consecutive days. Results: Patient 1 experienced a reduction in headache intensity from 5 to 1, while Patient 2 showed a reduction from 6 to 2. Both patients demonstrated a total reduction of 4 points, calculated from the pre-intervention score on the first day to the post-intervention score on the third day. Conclusion: The application of Hegu point (LI4) acupressure therapy may help reduce headache intensity in patients with cephalgia. This therapy can be used as a simple, safe, and easy-to-perform non-pharmacological intervention and may also be taught to patients to support independent pain management.
