<![CDATA[Adolescence is a period of identity formation, and the social environment plays a significant role in shaping perceptions of body image. Negative body image perceptions can reduce quality of life and mental well‑being, which in turn may affect the nutritional status of high school students. This study was carried out at five public senior high schools in Pontianak City, involving 284 students, in September 2024. Data were collected through BMI measurements and the administration of three instruments: the BSQ‑34 questionnaire, the WHOQOL‑Brief scale, and the DASS test. Relationships between variables were analyzed using the Pearson Chi‑Square test. The results showed that students generally held positive body image perceptions and had normal nutritional status. Quality of life was rated highest in the physical health and environmental domains. Nutritional status was significantly associated with body image (p = 0.000). Body image was significantly related to depression (p = 0.000) and anxiety (p = 0.000), as well as to the physical health (p = 0.006) and psychological health (p = 0.008) domains of quality of life. Implementing physical activity programs and providing cognitive‑behavioral support can help improve positive body image perceptions, which in turn benefit mental health and quality of life, and ultimately support better nutritional status among high school students. ]]>
