This article analyzes the role of the Al Mustahdiyah Kalideres Islamic Boarding School in alleviating urban poverty through a faith-based empowerment strategy. In the context of multidimensional poverty, pesantren function not only as educational institutions, but also as socio-economic actors for the surrounding community. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the perspective of Talcott Parsons' structural functionalism. The results of the study show that the empowerment strategy is carried out through the creation of business opportunities, strengthening the community economy, and internalizing religious values that encourage work ethic and social solidarity. The existence of Islamic boarding schools contributes to increasing income and economic stability of some of the surrounding communities. This research confirms that religious institutions have a strategic role in responding to urban poverty through integrated social and spiritual approaches.
