An Academic Information System is a system designed to support the integrated management of academic data and the dissemination of academic information. The management of academic data at SMA Methodist 3 Palembang is still carried out using conventional methods by utilizing separate Microsoft Excel files. This approach has the potential to cause data entry errors, data duplication, document loss, and delays in generating academic reports. This study aims to develop a Web-Based Academic Information System capable of integrating the management of student data, teacher data, subjects, class schedules, attendance records, grades, and tuition fee (SPP) payments into a single system. The system was developed using the Extreme Programming (XP) method, an iterative software development approach that actively involves users throughout each stage of the development process. The result of this study is a Web-Based Academic Information System application that assists SMA Methodist 3 Palembang in managing academic data in an integrated manner, accelerating data processing and information delivery, and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of academic data management.
