Background: Bronchopneumonia is a common lower respiratory tract infection in children and has the potential to cause impaired gas exchange and recurrent hospitalizations. This case report aims to describe the effectiveness of the semi-Fowler's position and health education in improving the clinical condition and the family's role. The case involved a 17-month-old girl with a history of recurrent bronchopneumonia who was admitted with complaints of shortness of breath and a productive cough. Purpose: Nursing care focused on providing the semi-Fowler's position to improve pulmonary ventilation and providing health education to the family regarding home care, recurrence prevention, and hygienic and healthy living practices. Method: Evaluation was conducted through monitoring the clinical condition and the family's level of understanding over four days of treatment. Results: Respiratory improvement was demonstrated, characterized by decreased respiratory rate, increased oxygen saturation, and reduced sputum production. Furthermore, family knowledge and compliance with self-care practices increased. Conclusion: The semi-Fowler's position combined with health education was effective in improving the respiratory status of children with recurrent bronchopneumonia and strengthening the family's role in preventing recurrence and recurrent hospitalizations.
