Performance is a critical aspect within organizations, particularly in the field of education. Performance is influenced by two key factors: leadership and work motivation. Findings from the field indicate that many principals have yet to implement effective leadership, particularly transformational leadership. Additionally, teachers’ work motivation in carrying out their duties remains low. This study aims to identify and analyze the influence of teachers’ perceptions of the principal’s transformational leadership and work motivation on teacher performance at elementary madrasahs. This study employs a quantitative method with a correlational research design. The study population consists of 101 individuals, namely teachers from all elementary madrasahs (MIN) in Solok Regency, while the sample comprises 81 participants. The sampling technique used simple random sampling. Furthermore, data collection utilized a Likert scale. The data were analyzed using correlational analysis to examine the relationships among variables. The results of the study indicate that: (1) transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on the performance of teachers at MIN in Solok Regency, contributing 21.6%; (2) work motivation has a positive and significant effect on the performance of teachers at MIN in Solok Regency, contributing 14.9%; and (3) transformational leadership, in conjunction with work motivation, has a positive and significant effect on the performance of MIN teachers in Solok Regency, with a contribution of 21.6%.
