<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze whether the items in the mathematics anxiety instrument exhibit bias based on school type. The study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population comprised all senior high school student in Pandeglang Regency. The sample consisted of 425 students from both public and private school, selected using a multistage random sampling technique. The instrument used was an adapted mathematics anxiety questionnaire consisting of 20 items, covering four dimensions of anxiety, namely cognitive, somatic, affective and mathematics knowledge. The data were subsequently analyzed using the Rasch model with the assistance of JMetrik software. The results of this study indicate that 19 items were valid and fit the Rasch model. Of these 19 items, 15 showed no evidence of differential item function, while 4 items were identified with DIF. However, the detected DIF was classified as slight to moderate, indicating no substantial item bias. Therefore, the instrument remains appropriate for measuring mathematics anxiety among public and private senior high school students.]]>
