<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze the transformation of inmates’ creativity through the implementation of a project-based guitar ensemble learning model at Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas III Rangkasbitung. The study is motivated by the importance of creativity development as part of the rehabilitation process for inmates through music education that is educational, expressive, and humanistic. Creativity in this study focuses on the inmates’ ability to generate new ideas, develop variations in musical performance, and realize these ideas through guitar ensemble performances.This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis used Creswell’s model, consisting of data organization, general sense, meaning interpretation, description, and data interpretation. The validity of the data was strengthened through source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results of the study show that the implementation of Project Based Learning (PJBL) was able to encourage the gradual transformation of inmates’ creativity through the guitar ensemble learning process. Creativity was reflected in the inmates’ ability to develop variations in guitar picking techniques, rhythm patterns, playing dynamics, and simple musical arrangements of the song Apuse. In addition, the inmates also experienced improvements in social and emotional aspects, such as increased confidence in expressing ideas, teamwork skills, self-confidence, discipline, and responsibility throughout the learning process. The transformation of creativity occurred because the inmates were actively involved in the planning, implementation, and performance stages of the group music project. Therefore, the implementation of the Project Based Learning model in guitar ensemble learning can serve as an effective rehabilitation medium for developing inmates’ creativity and social skills within correctional institutions.]]>
