<![CDATA[This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subjects due to learning that is still teacher-centered and does not involve student activities. The purpose of the research is to improve the learning outcomes of IPAS through the application of the Problem Based Learning model in grade IV elementary school students. The research uses the Classroom Action Research approach which is carried out in two cycles, each of which includes the stages of planning, implementation of actions, observation, and reflection. The research subjects amounted to 29 students. Data was obtained through learning outcome tests, observation of learning activities, and documentation. The results of the study showed a significant improvement at each stage. The average grade of the class increased from 65 in the initial condition with a completeness of 20.69% to 74 in the first cycle with a completeness of 72%, and reached 86 in the second cycle with a completeness of 86%. In addition, students' learning activities increase, characterized by the ability to discuss, explain concepts, and conclude the results of the investigation logically. These findings show that Problem Based Learning is effective in improving social studies learning outcomes as well as the quality of learning in elementary schools.]]>
