<![CDATA[This study examines the philosophical meaning of Sego Plontang, culinary as a source of history learning at SMA Negeri 2 Sragen. Sego Plontang is a traditional ritual cuisine of Desa Krikilan, Sangiran, Sragen Regency, presented in banana leaf containers (takir) and closely connected to Javanese customary tradition. Using a qualitative ethnographic approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with four key informants: a villager secretary, a local UMKM practitioner, a cultural heritage officer, and history teacher. Data were analyzed using Sutopo’s interactive analysis model and validated through source and method triangulation. The Finding reveal three main outcomes: (1) Sego Plontangg carries deep phiilisophical meanings rooted in Javanese-Islamic philosophy, encompassing values of simplicity, surrender to God, gratitude, social equality, and harmony with nature, dynamically adapted to different ceremonial occasion; (2) Sego Plontang demonstrates strong relevance as a history learning resource for Phase E (Grade X) Merdeka Curriculum, particularly for Mataram Islamic Kingdom topics due to clear traces of cultural acculturation from animism-dynamism through Hindu-Buddhism to Islamic transformation; and (3) the implementation at SMA Negeri 2 Sragen was realized through contextual learning using a digital booklet integrated with group discussions and Problem Based Learning, resulting in high student enthusiasm. This study concludes that local culinary traditions serve as authentic and contextual history learning resources that enrich historical cognition and strengthen students' cultural identity.]]>
