<![CDATA[Social Studies education (IPS) in Indonesia, introduced since 1975, plays a crucial role in educating the nation’s life in accordance with the mandate of the 1945 Constitution. At the primary school level, Social Studies is taught integratedly to develop students’ cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects, particularly in understanding their social and geographical environments, as well as fundamental skills like map reading. In the Independent Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka) era, Social Studies learning emphasizes a contextual, meaningful, and skill-oriented approach by utilizing the surrounding environment as a learning resource. This aims to foster critical, analytical thinking, ecological awareness, and social responsibility in students as global citizens. Given the importance of this role, prospective primary school teachers must be equipped with the Primary School Social Studies Education course. Therefore, strengthening material analysis within this course is highly necessary to enhance university students’ analytical skills, achieve quality learning processes, and ensure the optimal attainment of Social Studies learning objectives in primary schools.]]>
