<![CDATA[This study aims to describe the profile of "hot" (popular/excellent) PGSD (Elementary School Teacher Education) students in teaching elementary school social studies (IPS SD) material. The problem addressed is the low engagement and achievement in IPS learning among elementary students, coupled with the need for innovative teaching approaches by future teachers. Using a descriptive qualitative research method with case study approach, this research involved 30 PGSD students from Universitas Pahlawan Tuanku Tambusai during the 2024/2025 academic year. Data collection techniques included classroom observation, in-depth interviews, teaching performance assessment, and document analysis of lesson plans. The results show that "hot" PGSD students possess four main characteristics: (1) creativity in integrating technology such as Kahoot and Google Classroom for interactive learning, (2) inclusivity adapting materials for students with special needs using Jigsaw and Problem-Based Learning models, (3) practical field-based approach through mini field trips to traditional markets connecting with economic concepts, and (4) high energy making learning fun through traditional songs and gamification. The study found that students taught by these "hot" PGSD students showed 35% increase in IPS learning interest and 28% improvement in critical thinking skills compared to control group.
